Oviedo Light Painting Contest 2017

Great news I have heard! It’s time again for the Oviedo Light Painting Contest!

This is the second time this contest is organized, and of course, people from all over the world are invited to join!

The Oviedo Grand Contest is hosted by the Children of Darklight and LPWA with the financial help of the City Of Oviedo.

Contest categories

there are 5 competition categories:

1.  Light painting mainstream (where mostly light movements have an active role) – 9 finalists
2.  Soft light painting styles (where mostly lighting have an active role) – 4 finalists
3.  Experimental light painting (mixed techniques) – 2 finalists
4.  Best “Special Oviedo” photo (Best image made in the city of Oviedo during 2017) – 1 finalist
5.  Best “Special Oviedo” series (Best series made in the city of Oviedo during 2017) – 1 finalist

Prices

 Gold winner: Single image. Prizes are:

i. 400€ in cash by Ayuntamiento de Oviedo

ii. Olympus E-M10 MARK II + 14-42mm EZ + messenger bag, by Olympus

iii. Standard Cone Kit, by Herramientas Lightpainting

Also, Special Oviedo prizes will be granted to best light painting images, made in the Council of Oviedo (Spain) during 2017.

Judges

there will be 2 stages.

A pre selection stage with judges members of the LPWA advisory board and the 3 last year’s winners. They will select 15 finalists who will then be judged by different judges for the final stage, including a member of the City of Oviedo, the Organisers and some sponsors.

 

HOW to JOIN

To enter you need to submit no more than 3 of your images (or 2-8 pictures for the series category ) to oviedograndcontest@gmail.com   

before the submission deadline 30th September 2017. Opening date is 1.8.2017

You need to specify the category for every submission. Images without noted category will not take a part in Contest
