Artist of the Month July – Eric Pare & Kim Henry
Another month starts, and our blog is happy to announce the featured Artist of the Month July: Eric Pare and Kim Henry
Eric Pare and Kim Henry don’t need much introduction. There are one of very few artists globally with a recognizable “signature” style. Their tube light painting has taken over the world the last couple of years, and a friendly online community has been created around it.
Working as a photographer long before he started light painting, it was about 5-6 years ago that light painting comes in the way of Eric. They decided to install the bullet time rig in his studio and call Patrick Rochon to light paint. He recalls this to be the turning point for him, the moment when he got interested in getting more involved with this kind of techniques.
Skype interview
Eric and Kim are located in Montreal, Canada, so we decided to call them through Skype and record this conversation instead of a “typical” interview with questions.
We asked them some questions about their art, how it all started, the community that they have created, their favorite artists, how do they scout for locations and more…
This is our first time trying this kind of communication, so please be soft with possible technical issues. Please keep in mind that the interview is really sooc, no edit whatsoever apart from a small transition in the end cause due to low battery we lost Janne for a moment.
We hope you ‘ll find this as interesting as we did.
Here are some of the great images by Eric and Kim.

Ps: We have some ideas to continue this Skype calls for interviews and more, and we will be introducing a new section soon on the blog, stay tuned for this. 😉
