Photo of the week 41

Photo of the week 41

For his last week as our artist of the month October, Palateth went through all of your submissions on Instagram with the #lightpaintingblog hashtag.

His choice for the Photo of the week is this one by  Dan Chick

Collaborating on the actual image were many light painters including:

Gunnar Heilmann and Mafu Fuma from Aurora Movement /  big and small stars

Palateth / backlighting

Jannis Sid / el wire

Kim Von Coels / Trigger

and Dan himself on the writings!

For the people who don’t know the whole background story, Dan proposed with this picture to his girlfriend Nancy, without her (or anyone else who was involved in the picture) having any clue about what is gonna happen… while on a trip, in Berlin on the Lightpainters United meeting!

Here are a few words from Palateth about his choice:

At first, I was reluctant to pick something I’m involved in because that looks so narcissistic… But I like the symbol of the collab of light painters, and of course, it was a very fun surprise for everyone. The idea to come from USA to Berlin to shot this while keeping it secret for everyone and nobody as no clue while doing all the tries is crazy dedication! 😀
It a great symbol of people who join up to do positive stuff. 🙂
